went to SPCA with yingz yesterday, boy do i miss those animals (though storm isn't there anymore...)
anyway i've been thinking about travelling. and i think my course doesn't give me much options when it comes to trips abroad, apart from asia asia and even more regional areas. which is, pretty boring hahahaha.
i want to go like germany.. or czech.. or wherever my cool jc friends have gone because their schools give them such great opportunities. p/s they even have trips to south africa and switzerland. i'm dying already omgee.
while i'm stuck here in this busy city...
ok actually i really learnt to appreciate singapore. at least it's safe here, and it's super convenient to get things, or to go somewhere. so yeah. imagine having to travel like 3 to 4 hours just to get to my friend's house hahahaha, the horror!!
blah blah blah, i just really hope i've a chance to go overseas (and by that i mean out of asia) with the school. it'll be cool much 8)
p/s i find it cute how #disneypickuplines is trending on twitter, though there's nothing interesting on it. but i grew up watching disney (+nickelodeon) so it's quite a pleasant thing to see. better than those pointless trends about..... y'know...

mr tour guide which is really the cutest with his broken english hehe. but at least we can still understand whatever he wants to convey ok!
batam was simply amazing, i learnt so so much.. from the kids mainly. the joy they exude despite being orphans, it's heartwarming. the way they are so easily contented, i feel guilty for wanting too much. their living conditions, a far cry from what it is in singapore, i can't even imagine myself staying in such an environment. i'm too pampered.
incidents that touched me: #1 performance by the kids at Betesda #2 when the little girl that's no even 8 prayed for everyone #3 when this 12 years old girl prayed for me #4 singing p&w with the kids #5 their trust in God #6 receiving 4 kisses from the kids at Gracia (ok i asked for 3 of them.) #7 the kids' smile #8 the kids' appreciation for something very simple (like milo) #9 the girl at viran that gave me the tightest hug #10 how the kids don't actually feel like they're less fortunate.
emotional part aside, i think i was overly exuberant during the trip. laughed so hard i totally ignored my image hahaha, but oh well. plus, jas kept making me paranoid because ALL HER ACTIONS makes me feel like she was going to tickle me, or somewhere along that line. i had to be on my guard!!
i think we played pool every night, did we? alright, almost. then weijie and kidman came over to chill a little too. oh we watched Solitary on friday night which was so interesting hehe. and yes, they DO have channel 5 and 8 over there, the reception ain't that bad. (oh we have wifi at the lobby too!)
hmm jas and i had batam boyfriends hahahaha, ok people it's a joke. come on.. and kidman totally proved the theory "love cannot be forced" HAHAHAHA.
i don't like wrecking my brains to try recalling what exactly happened, i'm sorry. i'll end it here hahaha. but batam trip inspired me a whole lot.
alright, to end it: "learn now or be stupid forever." :) it was a quote at the orphanage hahahaha.

howdy people!! yes, i'm back from batam, which was splendid by the way. the trip was really impactful and enriching. will update more next time, when i'm less tired.
the kids at Betesda taught me this song and i'm still beyond touched. feeling so overwhelmed + emotional now ha ha ha ha ok bye.

mind cafe with part of e2 on sunday was DA BOMBZ. we played saboteur for say, 3.5hours? hahaha, and we were all brain-dead by then.. at least i was. shiyuan's such a pro in disguise. AND FRERRY'S LAUGHTER WAS OUR MAIN SOURCE OF ENTERTAINMENT THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT - way too contagious.
i like spending time with e2 hehe :)

and yesterday, i did the best thing ever!! I WENT ICE SKATING WITH MY S&W PEEPS!! (L) it's been so long since i've ice skated yayyyyyyyyy :') jordan and zhehao have extremely high CG they were like giants (fee fi fo fum) skating hehe. but it was so fun skating with them! i love my s&w peeps, really.
had dinner at popeyes and i'm not going to bring myself down here. let's just say jolene's a good liar, my entire team decides to play along. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, nonsensical people hehe
